
Shelby Tracy is a graduate research assistant and Henry David Fellow working on the Student Futures Project. She started at the Ray Marshall Center in October 2009. She is a graduate student at the LBJ School of Public Affairs, and expects to complete her Master of Public Affairs in May 2011.
Prior to graduate school, Shelby worked in adult education as an English literacy instructor at Austin Learning Academy, a family literacy non-profit. Prior to teaching, Shelby served in the Peace Corps in Bolivia, where she worked in a variety of projects, including organizing women’s groups to work in the transformation and conservation of local agriculture products to supplement family incomes, organizing a beekeeping project, and teaching English, nutrition and computer classes. Shelby holds a Bachelor of Journalism from The University of Texas at Austin.
